Lockdown 3 – Revenge of the Virus

Welcome to 2021, it’s just like 2020 but with a more infectious version of Covid and America trying even harder to become a failed state!

On Monday evening the UK Government announced a third national lockdown, not how we wanted to start the new year but if it finally gets Covid under control then I’m all for it!

The announcement also raised the question of click and collect… According to the rule’s businesses can continue to offer the service, but at the same time we’re being told to stay at home unless you really need to go out. This has left me mulling over what best to do…

Having asked a select group of customers and also speaking to the Council I have decided to suspend the click and collect service for their time being.

When I say I’ve spent the week thinking about it, I mean I’ve really agonised over the decision, but when weighing customer health and safety versus making sales health and safety wins every time.

Obviously, there are some customers who live close by who will be potentially offput from making orders by the delivery fee, as such I’m introducing a ‘free’ local delivery option (Ipswich Only) for orders over £25. I’ll credit the delivery cost to you in points.

If you have made an order for local pickup that is currently at the store we’ll get it to you (don’t worry, we’re not going to hold your purchases hostage).

In the spirit of lockdown we’re also going to be limiting our time in store, this may result in orders taking slightly longer to process or be dispatched.

What we’ll do it review things on a regular basis, if the virus shows signs of calming down we’ll bring back click and collect but for the time being we’ll keep it on hold.

As always,

Stay safe
Look after each other
Wear a mask
We love you
