As promised recently, here is another trademark Matt ramble regarding the store (I do love a good ramble…)

Ok, here’s the actual update.
As you know, we currently open late on most weeknight evenings, well, from November 18th we’ll be open until 10pm on every weeknight!To allow us to do this we’re also changing our opening hours each weekday morning – we’ll now be opening at 11am, rather than 10am. The first hour of the day was usually quiet so we’re hoping it won’t have too great an impact, plus being open until 10pm means there is always time to come and see us in the evening.To confirm, here are our new hours:
- Monday: 11am -10pm
- Tuesday: 11am – 10pm
- Wednesday: 11am – 10pm
- Thursday: 11am – 10pm
- Friday: 11am – 10pm
- Saturday: 10am – 6pm
- Sunday: 10am – 5pm
We’re also keen to make a good use of our evening opening, as such each evening after 6pm will be classed as a club night, each with its own focus.
- Monday – Dungeons & Dragons
- Tuesday – Tuesday Night Magic
- Wednesday – Wargames/Table Top Gaming
- Thursday – Casual Gaming & Board Games
- Friday – Friday Night Magic
Those that attend Friday Night Magic will be aware that we charge people a £2 entry fee, this will be extended to all evening sessions from 1st January 2020 (we want the other sessions to bed in between now and then). We’re also tweaking the entry fee so that if you spend £5 or more in store the fee is waved (as such you would not have to pay for the evening on top of an event entry fee for example). Also, if you’re just coming in to make a purchase then don’t worry the entry fee does not apply.
This leads us on to events, specifically Magic events and the prices of. Thanks to the recent cost increase of 17.5% on Magic products we’ve had to really review our event entry fees and have settled on the below:
- FNM, TNM, and Saturday Tournaments (Booster Per Win) – £6
- Booster Draft (3 Boosters plus Booster Per Win) – £15
- Tournament (Prize Pool 3 Boosters Per Player) – £10
- Tournament (Prize Pool 5 Boosters Per Player & Win A Box) – £16
We’ll regularly review event costs and adjust them based on the cost of product to ensure they are affordable, as such event costs could go up or down (fingers crossed for a strong £!!).
To also support players we offer event bundles for £6 events, where you benefit from a 5% saving for buying a 5 event bundle and a 10% saving for a 10 event bundle (here is the link to buy an event bundle – https://www.langdengames.co.uk/product-tag/fnm/)
Talking of events, we’re also trying to make sure that we post events with plenty of notice so that people are aware of what is happening in store.
